But the study found that men who took the drug experienced no significant sexual side effects — such as erectile dysfunction, or impotence, or a lack of sexual desire — at least once every 24 hours. But Hlatky said that’s not entirely true. “If you’re trying to treat something,” he said, “you’re still going to have to take it.”
Viagra is a PDE5 inhibitor that works by relaxing blood vessels in the penis. This allows for more blood flow, which can help you achieve and maintain an erection.
But, Hlatky noted, it doesn’t treat all problems, and some of the side effects are more likely to be temporary. For now, he’s holding back from talking to his patients about it. “I’ve got my ED,” he said.

• Anti-viral medication:- telaprevir, atazanavir, retonavir, indinavir, saquinavir and cobicistat
• Recreational drugs:- amyl nitrate (poppers)
